Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the art and science of using essential oils for improving and maintaining health and beauty.  Essential oils are a powerful and precious gift from nature and when integrated into your health care plan can help to address many of life's issues.

A practitioner must have successfully completed 450 hours of training from a certified program for the profession of aromatherapy and passed a written and practical examination that qualifies them as a certified aromatherapist.  The Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists sets the standards for certification, safety and professional conduct. Active practice and ongoing education programs are required to maintain membership with the CFA.

The CFA does not condone or recommend the application of undiluted essential oils or ingestion of essential oils.  As essential oils can be irritating, cause sensitivities and have the potential to cause systemic toxicity if used improperly, safe use is critical.  The CFA highly recommends that you seek professional advice from a certified aromatherapist.
